Rare Disease Day On February 28, 2011, the Daniella Foundation was proud to represent the DBA community at this year’s Rare Disease Day, a day dedicated toward raising widespread awareness of rare diseases as a global health challenge. Observed all over the world, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) honored the day by hosting a day-long conference at the NIH Campus in Bethesda, Maryland that highlighted the many rare diseases research activities supported by the NIH.
